Greenock Wedding Photographer
with a Documentary and Editorial Style

Greenock sits on the south bank of the Firth of Clyde, a former shipbuilding town with a genuinely grand Victorian town hall and a stately home a few minutes outside it on the Inverclyde coast. This page looks at Greenock specifically, separate from the Scotland country page elsewhere on this site, which spreads out across the whole country.
I photograph weddings across the town and its surrounds, a ceremony in a hand-painted room at a nearby estate, a reception under the Victoria Tower, portraits along the Custom House waterfront. Below are the real venues worth knowing, plus the questions couples ask me most before booking a wedding here.
From Intimate Elopements to Big Weddings in Greenock
Greenock covers both ends of the scale well, from a 25-guest ceremony in a hand-painted room at Ardgowan to a reception for hundreds at the Town Hall.
I photograph:
– quiet, intentional elopements with just the two of you
– small weddings with close family and friends
– full wedding days with a larger guest count
– multi-day wedding celebrations, including welcome dinners and relaxed moments before or after the wedding
No matter the size or length of the celebration, my focus is always the same: real moments, strong atmosphere, and portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The scale may change, but the intention doesn’t.

Wedding Videographer in Greenock: Photo and Hybrid Video Coverage
Alongside photography, I also offer wedding video coverage in Greenock as part of a hybrid photo and video approach.
Video is treated as an extension of the photography, captured with the same sensitivity to light, timing, and atmosphere. The focus stays on real moments, movement, and sound, without staged scenes or intrusive production.
For weddings that benefit from an additional perspective, a dedicated videographer can also be included, always working in the same calm, unobtrusive way and fully aligned with how I photograph the day.
This approach works especially well for destination weddings, where intimacy, setting, and emotion matter more than spectacle.
The Wedding Venues in Greenock
A stately home just outside the town, a grand Victorian town hall in the centre, and a working waterfront for portraits.

Ardgowan Estate
Honestly, this one isn’t in Greenock itself, it’s a few minutes away in Inverkip on the Ardgowan family’s own land. The Willow Room, hand-painted with cascading willow fronds in 2017, and the Myrtle Room, named after the myrtle wreath Lady Octavia Grosvenor wore at her 1852 wedding here, take up to 55 seated or 70 standing, with catering run through the estate’s own partner.
Greenock Town Hall
Described by the local leisure trust as a grand and historic venue, suitable for weddings and formal ceremonies in the town centre itself. No guest capacity is published, so worth confirming directly.
Custom House Quay
Not a wedding venue, but a genuine piece of the town’s maritime history for portraits: the waterfront building and quay where Greenock’s customs and shipping trade was once run, a short walk from the James Watt statue behind the Municipal Buildings.
Your Greenock Wedding Photographer
I’m Dejan, a Greenock wedding photographer.
My focus is always the wedding itself, not performances for the camera. The photos are simply a reflection of the day: genuine, calm, and emotionally grounded.
I take my work seriously, but never myself too seriously. A relaxed atmosphere, clear communication, and quiet confidence make all the difference, especially for destination weddings.

From the moment we met Dejan, he made us feel completely at ease. He has a calm and kind presence, and captured every emotion of the day in a way that felt honest and natural. Nothing felt forced or over-posed, yet he was always in the right place at the right time. His work feels intimate and timeless, and we’ll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Ardgowan Estate actually in Greenock?
No, honestly it’s in Inverkip, a few minutes outside the town on the Ardgowan family’s own estate. I cover it here because it’s the closest venue of its kind to Greenock, not because it sits inside the town itself.
How many guests can Ardgowan Estate hold?
Up to 55 seated or 70 standing across the Willow and Myrtle Rooms, with a four-hour slot for the event and catering run through the estate’s own partner.
Can we actually get married at Greenock Town Hall?
The local leisure trust lists it as suitable for weddings and formal ceremonies, but it doesn’t publish a guest capacity, so confirm numbers and availability directly before building a timeline around it.
What’s the best time of year for a Greenock wedding?
May through September gives the most reliable weather for portraits along the waterfront, though the Victorian interiors at the Town Hall and Ardgowan work well year round.
Which airport should our guests fly into?
Glasgow Airport is around 25 minutes away and has the widest range of connections, while Glasgow Prestwick, further south, is worth checking for budget routes.
