Dublin Wedding Photographer
with a Documentary and Editorial Style

Dublin splits into two very different kinds of wedding setting: a genuine Norman castle inside the city itself, and the grander country-estate scale of the Wicklow hills twenty minutes south. This page looks at Dublin specifically, separate from the wider Ireland country page elsewhere on this site, which spreads out across the whole country.
I photograph weddings across the city and its edges, a reception under a castle’s vaulted Great Hall, a ballroom wedding set against formal estate gardens, portraits along Dublin Bay. Below are the real venues worth knowing, plus the questions couples ask me most before booking a wedding here.
From Intimate Elopements to Big Weddings in Dublin
Dublin works well for an intimate elopement inside the city, and just as well for a larger celebration out at one of the estate venues nearby.
I photograph:
– quiet, intentional elopements with just the two of you
– small weddings with close family and friends
– full wedding days with a larger guest count
– multi-day wedding celebrations, including welcome dinners and relaxed moments before or after the wedding
No matter the size or length of the celebration, my focus is always the same: real moments, strong atmosphere, and portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The scale may change, but the intention doesn’t.

Wedding Videographer in Dublin: Photo and Hybrid Video Coverage
Alongside photography, I also offer wedding video coverage in Dublin as part of a hybrid photo and video approach.
Video is treated as an extension of the photography, captured with the same sensitivity to light, timing, and atmosphere. The focus stays on real moments, movement, and sound, without staged scenes or intrusive production.
For weddings that benefit from an additional perspective, a dedicated videographer can also be included, always working in the same calm, unobtrusive way and fully aligned with how I photograph the day.
This approach works especially well for destination weddings, where intimacy, setting, and emotion matter more than spectacle.
The Best Wedding Venues in Dublin
Two very different settings: a genuine castle inside Dublin city, and a grand estate ballroom twenty minutes south in the Wicklow hills.

Clontarf Castle Hotel, Clontarf
A castle with a history going back to the early 12th century, now a hotel inside Dublin city itself, a few kilometres from the centre. Exclusive-use weddings run up to 250 guests across the Great Hall, Viking Suite and Fahrenheit Restaurant, with round tables seating 8 to 12. The wedding suite is complimentary for the couple on the night, and the hotel’s 111 rooms mean a wedding party can realistically stay together on site.
Powerscourt Hotel, Enniskerry
Honestly, this one sits just outside Dublin, in the Wicklow hills within the historic Powerscourt Estate, about thirty minutes south of the city. The Ballroom holds up to 400 guests without a stage or dance floor, and on-site civil ceremonies are approved directly through the hotel. It’s the choice on this page for a couple who wants real scale and formal gardens rather than a city-centre setting.
Your Dublin Wedding Photographer
I’m Dejan, a Dublin wedding photographer.
My focus is always the wedding itself, not performances for the camera. The photos are simply a reflection of the day: genuine, calm, and emotionally grounded.
I take my work seriously, but never myself too seriously. A relaxed atmosphere, clear communication, and quiet confidence make all the difference, especially for destination weddings.

From the moment we met Dejan, he made us feel completely at ease. He has a calm and kind presence, and captured every emotion of the day in a way that felt honest and natural. Nothing felt forced or over-posed, yet he was always in the right place at the right time. His work feels intimate and timeless, and we’ll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this page different from your Ireland page?
The Ireland page on this site covers the whole country. This page looks specifically at Dublin, from a genuine castle inside the city to a grand estate ballroom in the Wicklow hills just south of it.
What’s the best time of year for a Dublin wedding?
Late May through September gives the most reliable weather and the longest daylight for an evening reception. Irish weather is changeable at any time of year though, so most of the venues on this page plan for an indoor backup regardless of season.
Which airport should our guests fly into?
Dublin Airport is the obvious choice, with direct international routes from across Europe and North America. It’s a straightforward twenty to thirty minute transfer to either venue on this page.
Can Powerscourt Hotel’s Ballroom really hold 400 guests?
That figure is the hotel’s own published capacity for the Ballroom without a stage or dance floor, so I’d treat it as a ceiling rather than a target. Most weddings I photograph there run smaller, and the room scales down comfortably.
Do we need a wedding planner in Dublin?
Not necessarily at Clontarf Castle or Powerscourt, since both run dedicated in-house wedding teams who handle the day-to-day coordination. A planner still earns their fee on a multi-day celebration or if you’re coordinating suppliers from abroad.
