Limerick Wedding Photographer
with a Documentary and Editorial Style

Limerick’s best-known wedding venues sit just outside the city itself, a Gothic manor in the postcard village of Adare, and a castle on the Clare side of the Shannon near the airport. This page looks at Limerick specifically, separate from the wider Ireland country page elsewhere on this site, which spreads out across the whole country.
I photograph weddings across the region, a ceremony in a walled garden, a reception beneath a ballroom’s crystal chandeliers, portraits against centuries-old stonework. Below are the real venues worth knowing, plus the questions couples ask me most before booking a wedding here.
From Intimate Elopements to Big Weddings in Limerick
Limerick works well for an intimate elopement in one of the smaller dining rooms at either estate, and just as well for a full formal wedding in one of the grand ballrooms.
I photograph:
– quiet, intentional elopements with just the two of you
– small weddings with close family and friends
– full wedding days with a larger guest count
– multi-day wedding celebrations, including welcome dinners and relaxed moments before or after the wedding
No matter the size or length of the celebration, my focus is always the same: real moments, strong atmosphere, and portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The scale may change, but the intention doesn’t.

Wedding Videographer in Limerick: Photo and Hybrid Video Coverage
Alongside photography, I also offer wedding video coverage in Limerick as part of a hybrid photo and video approach.
Video is treated as an extension of the photography, captured with the same sensitivity to light, timing, and atmosphere. The focus stays on real moments, movement, and sound, without staged scenes or intrusive production.
For weddings that benefit from an additional perspective, a dedicated videographer can also be included, always working in the same calm, unobtrusive way and fully aligned with how I photograph the day.
This approach works especially well for destination weddings, where intimacy, setting, and emotion matter more than spectacle.
The Best Wedding Venues in Limerick
Two grand estates near Limerick, plus a city-centre hotel for a couple who wants to stay closer to town.

Adare Manor, Adare
A Gothic Revival manor built for the Earls of Dunraven, set on an 840-acre estate in the postcard village of Adare, about 20 minutes from Limerick city. The Grand Ballroom, with its sweeping staircase and crystal chandeliers, requires a minimum of 150 guests, and a converted suite handles indoor ceremonies up to the same number. The Walled Garden is the outdoor ceremony option, and the estate’s 400-year-old Cedar of Lebanon makes a genuinely distinctive portrait backdrop.
Dromoland Castle, Newmarket-on-Fergus
Honestly, this one is just over the Clare border, about 20 minutes from Limerick city and 10 minutes from Shannon Airport. It’s the ancestral home of the O’Briens, descendants of Brian Boru, and weddings here run up to 300 seated in the Brian Boru Hall, with drinks served beforehand in the vaulted Kincora Gallery.
Castletroy Park Hotel, Limerick
A genuinely in-city option, about 15 minutes from the centre, built around an 18th-century manor house core. The Minaun Room, with its 18-foot ceilings, suits a medium-sized wedding of 100 to 140 guests, the choice on this page for a couple who’d rather keep things close to Limerick itself than drive out to a country estate.
Your Limerick Wedding Photographer
I’m Dejan, a Limerick wedding photographer.
My focus is always the wedding itself, not performances for the camera. The photos are simply a reflection of the day: genuine, calm, and emotionally grounded.
I take my work seriously, but never myself too seriously. A relaxed atmosphere, clear communication, and quiet confidence make all the difference, especially for destination weddings.

From the moment we met Dejan, he made us feel completely at ease. He has a calm and kind presence, and captured every emotion of the day in a way that felt honest and natural. Nothing felt forced or over-posed, yet he was always in the right place at the right time. His work feels intimate and timeless, and we’ll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

How the Process Works
You send me a message with a few details about your wedding.
We schedule a free consultation call to understand your plans, your priorities, and see if our approach aligns.
If it feels right, we move forward – and on the day itself, you can be fully present while I take care of documenting everything.
The Rest of Ireland
Limerick is the focus here, not all of Ireland. That broader picture lives on the guide to the rest of Ireland.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this page different from your Ireland page?
The Ireland page on this site covers the whole country. This page looks specifically at Limerick and its surrounding estates, from the Gothic manor at Adare to the O’Brien castle at Dromoland and a city-centre option in Limerick itself.
Is Dromoland Castle actually in Limerick?
Just over the county line in Co. Clare, about 20 minutes from Limerick city. It’s close enough, and well-known enough locally, that most couples researching a Limerick wedding consider it alongside Adare Manor.
What’s the best time of year for a Limerick wedding?
Late May through September for the most reliable weather and the Walled Garden at its best at Adare. Both estates plan for indoor backup regardless, since Irish weather can turn at short notice any time of year.
Which airport should our guests fly into?
Shannon Airport is the obvious choice for either estate, about 10 to 20 minutes away with direct transatlantic and European routes. Dublin Airport is the fallback for guests connecting through a larger hub.
Do we need a wedding planner in Limerick?
Not necessarily at Adare Manor or Dromoland Castle, both run dedicated wedding teams who handle most of the coordination. A planner earns their fee more on a multi-day celebration than a single-day wedding at either estate.
