Warsaw Wedding Photographer
with a Documentary and Editorial Style

Warsaw rebuilt itself almost completely after the Second World War, which makes its grand wedding backdrops a little different from the postcard version of Poland. The Old Town square outside is a careful reconstruction, while the real historic interiors, a royal palace, a 1920s hotel ballroom, survived or were restored piece by piece, and carry that history more quietly than a building that was never touched. This page looks at Warsaw specifically, separate from the Poland country page elsewhere on this site, which spreads out across cities and regions.
I photograph weddings across the capital and just outside it, a ceremony beside a royal lake pavilion, a reception under a century-old chandelier, a countryside hotel on the water an hour from the city center. Below are five real venues worth knowing, plus the questions couples ask me most before booking a wedding here.
From Intimate Elopements to Big Weddings in Warsaw
Warsaw works just as beautifully for intimate elopements as it does for larger and multi-day celebrations.
I photograph:
– quiet, intentional elopements with just the two of you
– small weddings with close family and friends
– full wedding days with a larger guest count
– multi-day wedding celebrations, including welcome dinners and relaxed moments before or after the wedding
No matter the size or length of the celebration, my focus is always the same: real moments, strong atmosphere, and portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The scale may change, but the intention doesn’t.

Wedding Videographer in Warsaw: Photo and Hybrid Video Coverage
Alongside photography, I also offer wedding video coverage in Warsaw as part of a hybrid photo and video approach.
Video is treated as an extension of the photography, captured with the same sensitivity to light, timing, and atmosphere. The focus stays on real moments, movement, and sound, without staged scenes or intrusive production.
For weddings that benefit from an additional perspective, a dedicated videographer can also be included, always working in the same calm, unobtrusive way and fully aligned with how I photograph the day.
This approach works especially well for destination weddings, where intimacy, setting, and emotion matter more than spectacle.
The Best Wedding Venues in Warsaw
Five venues in and around Warsaw, from a royal island palace to a Belle Epoque hotel ballroom and a lakeside countryside retreat.

Łazienki Królewskie, Palace on the Isle
King Stanisław August’s Classicist summer residence, set on its own small island in the Royal Baths park in the middle of Warsaw. The museum hosts ceremonies directly on site, in the Palace on the Isle itself for up to around 120 guests or the Old Orangery for closer to 150, with the wider park available for portraits afterward. Receptions are held separately nearby, most often at the Belvedere restaurant.
Polonia Palace Hotel
A historic early-20th-century hotel directly across from the Palace of Culture and Science, Warsaw’s best-known landmark. The Ludwikowska Ball Room seats up to around 120 for a reception, and the hotel runs its own in-house wedding planning and catering, useful for a couple who wants most of the coordination handled in one place.
Hotel Windsor, Jachranka
A lakeside hotel on Lake Zegrze, about thirty minutes outside central Warsaw, with several banquet halls scaled from an intimate 60 guests up to a genuinely large 400 or more, plus outdoor ceremonies in the hotel’s own park. Worth considering for a wedding that wants real lake scenery without leaving the Warsaw area entirely.
Wilanów Palace
A Baroque royal residence built for King John III Sobieski in the 1680s, later home to several of Poland’s great aristocratic families, now one of the country’s major museums. It doesn’t host ceremonies or receptions, but the museum sells paid photo sessions across its gardens and interiors, which makes it a genuinely striking backdrop for wedding portraits rather than a venue in itself.
Ujazdowski Castle
A rebuilt Baroque castle just south of the city center, now home to Warsaw’s Centre for Contemporary Art. Like Wilanów, it isn’t set up to host weddings, but the castle grounds and courtyard make for a quietly dramatic portrait location if you’re already spending the day in central Warsaw.
Your Warsaw Wedding Photographer
I’m Dejan, a Warsaw wedding photographer.
My focus is always the wedding itself, not performances for the camera. The photos are simply a reflection of the day: genuine, calm, and emotionally grounded.
I take my work seriously, but never myself too seriously. A relaxed atmosphere, clear communication, and quiet confidence make all the difference, especially for destination weddings.

From the moment we met Dejan, he made us feel completely at ease. He has a calm and kind presence, and captured every emotion of the day in a way that felt honest and natural. Nothing felt forced or over-posed, yet he was always in the right place at the right time. His work feels intimate and timeless, and we’ll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this page different from your Poland page?
The Poland page on this site covers the whole country broadly. This page looks specifically at Warsaw, the capital, with its own royal palaces, historic hotels and countryside lake venues close by.
What’s the best time of year for a Warsaw wedding?
Late May through September gives the warmest, most reliable weather, with June and September usually the easiest months to book around. Winters in Warsaw are cold and the days are short, so most couples plan for spring or summer unless they specifically want a candlelit, indoor winter wedding.
Which airport should our guests fly into?
Warsaw Chopin Airport is the main option and sits close to the city center, with plenty of direct flights from across Europe. Warsaw Modlin is a budget-airline alternative further north, worth checking if a particular airline only flies into that one.
Is Hotel Windsor in Jachranka really a Warsaw wedding, or is that too far from the city?
It’s about thirty minutes outside central Warsaw, close enough that most guests treat it as a day trip rather than a separate destination, while still giving you genuine lake scenery you won’t find in the city itself. I’d flag the distance clearly to your guests when you send invitations, especially anyone without a car.
Do we need a wedding planner in Warsaw?
If you’re marrying at a museum property like Łazienki or Wilanów, yes, since the ceremony and reception are usually handled by separate teams and the paperwork for a civil ceremony at a historic site takes some coordination. A hotel venue like Polonia Palace or Windsor runs more of that in-house.
