Perth Wedding Photographer
with a Documentary and Editorial Style

Perth sits on the River Tay in the heart of Perthshire, and its best-known venue, Scone Palace, carries genuine royal weight: it stands on the site where Scottish kings were once crowned. This page looks at Perth specifically, separate from the Scotland country page elsewhere on this site, which spreads out across the whole country.
I photograph weddings across the city and its surrounds, a ceremony at a palace with real coronation history, a reception at a country house just outside town, portraits along the Tay. Below are the real venues worth knowing, plus the questions couples ask me most before booking a wedding here.
From Intimate Elopements to Big Weddings in Perth
Perthshire works well across the scale, from a 10-guest ceremony in a library room to a 140-guest country house wedding.
I photograph:
– quiet, intentional elopements with just the two of you
– small weddings with close family and friends
– full wedding days with a larger guest count
– multi-day wedding celebrations, including welcome dinners and relaxed moments before or after the wedding
No matter the size or length of the celebration, my focus is always the same: real moments, strong atmosphere, and portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The scale may change, but the intention doesn’t.

Wedding Videographer in Perth: Photo and Hybrid Video Coverage
Alongside photography, I also offer wedding video coverage in Perth as part of a hybrid photo and video approach.
Video is treated as an extension of the photography, captured with the same sensitivity to light, timing, and atmosphere. The focus stays on real moments, movement, and sound, without staged scenes or intrusive production.
For weddings that benefit from an additional perspective, a dedicated videographer can also be included, always working in the same calm, unobtrusive way and fully aligned with how I photograph the day.
This approach works especially well for destination weddings, where intimacy, setting, and emotion matter more than spectacle.
The Wedding Venues in Perth
A palace with real royal history, a 17th-century country house in the golf-course grounds nearby, and the Tay’s own parkland for portraits.

Scone Palace
Built on the site of Scone Abbey, beside the Moot Hill where Scottish kings were historically crowned. The palace is licensed for civil marriage and lists an overall capacity of 100 or more across its chapel, house rooms and marquee space, without a published breakdown by individual room, so I’d confirm the right fit for your numbers directly.
Murrayshall House
A 17th-century country house about 10 minutes from Perth, set in 365 acres of golf-course grounds. The venue takes anywhere from 5 to 140 guests overall, with the Lynedoch Suite as its largest ceremony and reception space at up to 120, and a Library Room for a genuinely small ceremony of up to 10.
North Inch
Not a bookable venue. This stretch of parkland beside the Tay, the site of a famous 1396 clan battle, makes for a straightforward, unfussy setting for portraits in the city itself.
Your Perth Wedding Photographer
I’m Dejan, a Perth wedding photographer.
My focus is always the wedding itself, not performances for the camera. The photos are simply a reflection of the day: genuine, calm, and emotionally grounded.
I take my work seriously, but never myself too seriously. A relaxed atmosphere, clear communication, and quiet confidence make all the difference, especially for destination weddings.

From the moment we met Dejan, he made us feel completely at ease. He has a calm and kind presence, and captured every emotion of the day in a way that felt honest and natural. Nothing felt forced or over-posed, yet he was always in the right place at the right time. His work feels intimate and timeless, and we’ll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Scone Palace’s royal history genuine?
Yes. The palace stands on the site of Scone Abbey, next to the Moot Hill, historically the coronation place of Scottish kings. The current palace is licensed for civil marriage ceremonies.
What’s the best time of year for a Perth wedding?
May through September gives the most reliable weather for a Perthshire wedding, particularly for anything using Murrayshall’s grounds or Scone’s outdoor and garden spaces.
Which airport should our guests fly into?
Edinburgh and Glasgow are both roughly an hour from Perth by road and are the practical options for international guests; Perth itself has no commercial airport.
Can Murrayshall really host both a tiny and a large wedding?
Yes, its capacity genuinely ranges from 5 guests in the Library Room up to 140 in the Lynedoch Suite, so it’s worth specifying your rough numbers early when you enquire.
Do we need a wedding planner for Scone Palace or Murrayshall?
I’d recommend one for Scone Palace given the scale of the estate and the range of spaces available; Murrayshall’s smaller scale makes self-coordination more manageable.
