Zakynthos Wedding Photographer
with a Documentary and Editorial Style

Zakynthos sits in the Ionian Sea, west of the Greek mainland, a genuinely different island character from the Aegean islands further east, turquoise coves, a limestone coastline, and private villas rather than large resort hotels. This page looks at Zakynthos specifically, separate from the Greece country page elsewhere on this site, which spreads out across the whole country.
I photograph weddings across the island, a reception on a villa’s sea-view lawn, a garden ceremony at sunset, portraits along the limestone cliffs. Below are the real venues worth knowing, plus the questions couples ask me most before booking a wedding here.
From Intimate Elopements to Big Weddings in Zakynthos
Zakynthos works beautifully for an intimate elopement, and its villa-based venues tend to favor a smaller, more private celebration over a very large one.
I photograph:
– quiet, intentional elopements with just the two of you
– small weddings with close family and friends
– full wedding days with a larger guest count
– multi-day wedding celebrations, including welcome dinners and relaxed moments before or after the wedding
No matter the size or length of the celebration, my focus is always the same: real moments, strong atmosphere, and portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The scale may change, but the intention doesn’t.

Wedding Videographer in Zakynthos: Photo and Hybrid Video Coverage
Alongside photography, I also offer wedding video coverage in Zakynthos as part of a hybrid photo and video approach.
Video is treated as an extension of the photography, captured with the same sensitivity to light, timing, and atmosphere. The focus stays on real moments, movement, and sound, without staged scenes or intrusive production.
For weddings that benefit from an additional perspective, a dedicated videographer can also be included, always working in the same calm, unobtrusive way and fully aligned with how I photograph the day.
This approach works especially well for destination weddings, where intimacy, setting, and emotion matter more than spectacle.
The Wedding Venues at Zakynthos
Two private villas on Zakynthos, both with sea views, plus the island’s most photographed coastline for portraits.

Artina Luxury Villa, Keri
A private villa on an elevated limestone plateau above Limni Keri on Zakynthos’s southern coast, with views across the Keri gulf to Marathonisi Island and the open Ionian Sea. The grounds run to 21 acres, with a heated pool stretching the length of the house. The villa itself sleeps 8 overnight; for a wedding-sized reception on the grounds, I’d confirm exact seated capacity directly with the venue.
Gardenia Villa, Alykes
A sea-view garden on Zakynthos’s northeast coast, bookable separately from an overnight stay at the villa itself, with some of the best sunset views on the island and a relaxed, boho-beach feel rather than a formal one. No fixed guest maximum is published; I’d confirm capacity for your group size directly.
Navagio and the Keri Lighthouse
Not bookable venues. Navagio, the shipwreck beach, is reachable only by boat, the land trail down has been closed since 2023 over rockfall risk, so a boat trip or clifftop viewpoint is how I’d plan portraits there. The Keri lighthouse, further south, is a working lighthouse on a promontory known locally for sunset.
Your Zakynthos Wedding Photographer
I’m Dejan, a Zakynthos wedding photographer.
My focus is always the wedding itself, not performances for the camera. The photos are simply a reflection of the day: genuine, calm, and emotionally grounded.
I take my work seriously, but never myself too seriously. A relaxed atmosphere, clear communication, and quiet confidence make all the difference, especially for destination weddings.

From the moment we met Dejan, he made us feel completely at ease. He has a calm and kind presence, and captured every emotion of the day in a way that felt honest and natural. Nothing felt forced or over-posed, yet he was always in the right place at the right time. His work feels intimate and timeless, and we’ll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this page different from your Greece page?
The Greece page on this site covers the country broadly. This page looks specifically at Zakynthos, an Ionian Sea island with private villas rather than large resort hotels, and its own distinct coastline.
What’s the best time of year for a Zakynthos wedding?
Late May through June and September give the most reliable weather while avoiding July and August’s peak heat and crowds. The island gets genuinely busy with tourism in high summer, worth factoring into guest logistics.
Which airport should our guests fly into?
Zakynthos has its own international airport with direct seasonal flights from several European countries in summer, mostly charter routes. Outside peak season, or for guests coming from further afield, flying into Athens and connecting is the more reliable option.
Can Artina Luxury Villa or Gardenia Villa actually host our full guest list?
Both are private villas rather than purpose-built event venues, so published capacity figures are limited. I’d confirm exact numbers directly with each venue once you know your guest count, especially if you’re planning a larger celebration.
Do we need a wedding planner in Zakynthos?
Yes, I’d recommend one. Neither villa runs a large in-house wedding team, so a local planner who already knows the property and the island’s permit requirements saves real coordination time for a couple planning from abroad.
