Lefkada Wedding Photographer
with a Documentary and Editorial Style

Lefkada sits in the Ionian Sea, connected to the Greek mainland by a bridge rather than reached only by boat or plane, which makes it one of the more straightforward Greek islands for a destination wedding to get to. It still has its own character though, dramatic limestone cliffs on the west coast, a working town on the sheltered east side. This page looks at Lefkada specifically, separate from the Greece country page elsewhere on this site, which spreads out across the whole country.
I photograph weddings across the island, a hotel wedding in Lefkada Town, an intimate seaside ceremony, portraits along the cliffs above Porto Katsiki. Below are the real venues worth knowing, plus the questions couples ask me most before booking a wedding here.
From Intimate Elopements to Big Weddings in Lefkada
Lefkada can go either way, an intimate ceremony for a handful of guests at a seaside hotel, or a full celebration in a dedicated event hall for several hundred.
I photograph:
– quiet, intentional elopements with just the two of you
– small weddings with close family and friends
– full wedding days with a larger guest count
– multi-day wedding celebrations, including welcome dinners and relaxed moments before or after the wedding
No matter the size or length of the celebration, my focus is always the same: real moments, strong atmosphere, and portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The scale may change, but the intention doesn’t.

Wedding Videographer in Lefkada: Photo and Hybrid Video Coverage
Alongside photography, I also offer wedding video coverage in Lefkada as part of a hybrid photo and video approach.
Video is treated as an extension of the photography, captured with the same sensitivity to light, timing, and atmosphere. The focus stays on real moments, movement, and sound, without staged scenes or intrusive production.
For weddings that benefit from an additional perspective, a dedicated videographer can also be included, always working in the same calm, unobtrusive way and fully aligned with how I photograph the day.
This approach works especially well for destination weddings, where intimacy, setting, and emotion matter more than spectacle.
The Wedding Venues at Lefkada
A large-capacity hotel hall in Lefkada Town, an intimate seaside hotel wedding, and one real villa micro-wedding worth knowing about.

Ionion Star Hotel, Lefkada Town
A hotel with a dedicated events wing on the edge of Lefkada Town. Its largest hall, Azzurro Mare, holds up to 400 guests for a wedding or reception, with smaller rooms for a more intimate group (the Fetus pool bar seats around 80, the Roof Garden around 50). A reception coordinator handles the planning, and the hotel offers a discounted wedding-night suite for the couple.
Villa Olga Hotel
Built for a smaller, more intimate wedding of up to around 100 guests, with the ceremony held either on-site or at a seaside chapel roughly 150 meters away. The hotel hosts Orthodox, civil, symbolic, and vow-renewal ceremonies.
Villa Tempestini
A private villa with a genuine wedding on record, a small terrace ceremony overlooking the sea followed by an al fresco dinner. No published capacity, so this works best for a true micro-wedding; I’d confirm numbers and availability directly.
Porto Katsiki Beach
Not a ceremony venue. Lefkada’s best-known beach, a white limestone cliff dropping to turquoise water, reached by a long staircase. A striking spot for portraits, though not practical for hosting a ceremony itself.
Your Lefkada Wedding Photographer
I’m Dejan, a Lefkada wedding photographer.
My focus is always the wedding itself, not performances for the camera. The photos are simply a reflection of the day: genuine, calm, and emotionally grounded.
I take my work seriously, but never myself too seriously. A relaxed atmosphere, clear communication, and quiet confidence make all the difference, especially for destination weddings.

From the moment we met Dejan, he made us feel completely at ease. He has a calm and kind presence, and captured every emotion of the day in a way that felt honest and natural. Nothing felt forced or over-posed, yet he was always in the right place at the right time. His work feels intimate and timeless, and we’ll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this page different from your Greece page?
The Greece page on this site covers the country broadly. This page looks specifically at Lefkada, an Ionian island connected to the mainland by a bridge rather than reached only by ferry, with its own mix of hotel venues and private villas.
What’s the best time of year for a Lefkada wedding?
Late May through June and September give the most reliable weather while avoiding July and August’s peak heat and crowds, when the island’s beaches and hotels are at their busiest.
Which airport should our guests fly into?
Lefkada has no airport of its own. The nearest is Aktion Airport near Preveza, with seasonal direct flights from a handful of European countries and no route from Athens. For guests coming from further afield or outside the season, flying into Athens and driving across the bridge is usually the more reliable option.
How many guests can Lefkada’s venues actually hold?
It depends on the venue. Ionion Star Hotel’s largest hall holds up to 400, Villa Olga is built for a more intimate wedding of around 100, and a private villa wedding like Villa Tempestini’s works best as a true micro-wedding. I’d help match the venue to your guest count.
Do we need a wedding planner in Lefkada?
Ionion Star Hotel and Villa Olga both have their own events staff who coordinate the day, so a separate planner isn’t essential there. For a private villa wedding, I’d still recommend a local planner for logistics and permits.
