Kos Wedding Photographer
with a Documentary and Editorial Style

Kos sits in the Dodecanese, the Greek islands closest to the Turkish coast, with a different rhythm from the Cyclades further west: flatter terrain, a working agricultural economy alongside tourism, and a history that runs back to Hippocrates, the father of Western medicine, who taught here. This page looks at Kos specifically, separate from the Greece country page elsewhere on this site, which spreads out across the whole country.
I photograph weddings across the island, a resort ceremony near Marmari, portraits among ancient ruins in Kos Town. Below are the real venues worth knowing, plus the questions couples ask me most before booking a wedding here.
From Intimate Elopements to Big Weddings in Kos
Kos works well for both an intimate elopement and a full resort wedding, and its beachfront resorts can scale from a handful of guests to a larger celebration.
I photograph:
– quiet, intentional elopements with just the two of you
– small weddings with close family and friends
– full wedding days with a larger guest count
– multi-day wedding celebrations, including welcome dinners and relaxed moments before or after the wedding
No matter the size or length of the celebration, my focus is always the same: real moments, strong atmosphere, and portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The scale may change, but the intention doesn’t.

Wedding Videographer in Kos: Photo and Hybrid Video Coverage
Alongside photography, I also offer wedding video coverage in Kos as part of a hybrid photo and video approach.
Video is treated as an extension of the photography, captured with the same sensitivity to light, timing, and atmosphere. The focus stays on real moments, movement, and sound, without staged scenes or intrusive production.
For weddings that benefit from an additional perspective, a dedicated videographer can also be included, always working in the same calm, unobtrusive way and fully aligned with how I photograph the day.
This approach works especially well for destination weddings, where intimacy, setting, and emotion matter more than spectacle.
The Wedding Venues at Kos
A beachfront resort built for weddings near Marmari, plus the ancient sites worth knowing for portraits.

Ikos Aria, Marmari
A beachfront all-inclusive resort on Kos’s north coast with a dedicated wedding planner who coordinates both the ceremony and the Greek Town Hall paperwork. Accommodation groups max out at around 30 of your nearest guests, with the ceremony held at a designated spot on the resort grounds; I’d confirm reception capacity directly for a larger guest list.
Grecotel Casa Paradiso, Marmari
A beachfront bungalow resort along the same stretch of coast, listed by several wedding directories as a romantic beach-wedding setting, though I haven’t found the resort’s own wedding package details confirmed directly, so I’d check capacity and packages with the resort itself.
The Asklepion and the Hippocrates Plane Tree
Not bookable venues. The Asklepion, Hippocrates’ ancient healing sanctuary above Kos Town, is an archaeological site with no ceremony hosting, a striking backdrop for portraits in golden hour. The Plane Tree in Kos Town’s main square, reputedly where Hippocrates once taught, is a quick, characterful portrait stop.
Your Kos Wedding Photographer
I’m Dejan, a Kos wedding photographer.
My focus is always the wedding itself, not performances for the camera. The photos are simply a reflection of the day: genuine, calm, and emotionally grounded.
I take my work seriously, but never myself too seriously. A relaxed atmosphere, clear communication, and quiet confidence make all the difference, especially for destination weddings.

From the moment we met Dejan, he made us feel completely at ease. He has a calm and kind presence, and captured every emotion of the day in a way that felt honest and natural. Nothing felt forced or over-posed, yet he was always in the right place at the right time. His work feels intimate and timeless, and we’ll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this page different from your Greece page?
The Greece page on this site covers the country broadly. This page looks specifically at Kos, a Dodecanese island with a different character from the Cyclades, home to Hippocrates and a strong resort-wedding scene near Marmari.
What’s the best time of year for a Kos wedding?
Late May through June and September give the most reliable weather while avoiding July and August’s peak heat and crowds, when the island’s resorts are at their busiest.
Which airport should our guests fly into?
Kos has its own international airport with a wide range of direct seasonal flights from across Europe in summer. Outside peak season, or for guests coming from further afield, flying into Athens and connecting is the more reliable option.
Can Ikos Aria host our full guest list?
Ikos Aria’s wedding accommodation groups cap out at around 30 of your nearest guests, with the resort’s own wedding planner coordinating a larger reception separately. I’d confirm exact numbers directly once you know your guest count.
Do we need a wedding planner in Kos?
Not necessarily if you’re booking an all-inclusive resort wedding like Ikos Aria’s, since the resort provides its own planner for the ceremony and paperwork. For a venue without an in-house wedding team, I’d still recommend a local planner for permit requirements.
