Naples Wedding Photographer
with a Documentary and Editorial Style

Naples itself, and the wider area around it, gets overshadowed by Amalfi, Capri and Positano on this site the same way it does in most people’s mental map of the region, understandably, given the coastline those three cover. But Naples has its own real range worth its own page: Sorrento’s grand old hotels looking straight across the bay at Vesuvius, working vineyard estates in Caserta province forty minutes inland, and a genuine UNESCO World Heritage royal palace that occasionally opens its courtyards for private events.
I photograph weddings across this range, a historic hotel where Caruso and Wagner both once stayed, a family-run vineyard estate, and, for the couples who ask, the Royal Palace of Caserta itself. This page covers Naples and its surrounding area broadly, separate from the Amalfi Coast, Capri and Positano pages, which each get their own dedicated treatment. Below are four venues worth knowing, plus the questions couples ask me most before booking a wedding here.
From Intimate Elopements to Big Weddings in Naples
Naples works just as beautifully for intimate elopements as it does for larger and multi-day celebrations.
I photograph:
– quiet, intentional elopements with just the two of you
– small weddings with close family and friends
– full wedding days with a larger guest count
– multi-day wedding celebrations, including welcome dinners and relaxed moments before or after the wedding
No matter the size or length of the celebration, my focus is always the same: real moments, strong atmosphere, and portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The scale may change, but the intention doesn’t.

Wedding Videographer in Naples: Photo and Hybrid Video Coverage
Alongside photography, I also offer wedding video coverage in Naples as part of a hybrid photo and video approach.
Video is treated as an extension of the photography, captured with the same sensitivity to light, timing, and atmosphere. The focus stays on real moments, movement, and sound, without staged scenes or intrusive production.
For weddings that benefit from an additional perspective, a dedicated videographer can also be included, always working in the same calm, unobtrusive way and fully aligned with how I photograph the day.
This approach works especially well for destination weddings, where intimacy, setting, and emotion matter more than spectacle.
The Best Wedding Venues in Naples
Four venues across Naples, Sorrento and Caserta, from a historic grand hotel to working vineyard estates and a UNESCO royal palace.

Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria, Sorrento
Family-owned since it opened in 1834, on a clifftop in Sorrento’s most panoramic quarter with the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius laid out in front of it. Excelsior Vittoria hosts weddings from 30 to 200 guests, across 105 rooms, a garden of olive trees and lemon orchard, and reception halls with painted ceilings that need no additional decoration. Symbolic and Protestant ceremonies happen on the grounds, with a civil ceremony a short walk away at the Cloisters of St. Francis, and the guest book here already includes Wagner, Caruso, Monroe and Sophia Loren, which tells you the level this hotel has operated at for close to two centuries.
Villa Eldaca, Dragoni, Caserta province
A working estate forty minutes from Naples airport, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and the Matese mountains, built for a wedding with real scale, up to 250 guests, 200 of them indoors if the weather turns. The property runs its own kitchen and requires a minimum of 100 guests outside the winter months, with a wine cellar, two swimming pools and even a small vintage motorbike collection scattered through the grounds. Ceremonies happen as a symbolic service in the gardens, with the local parish church five minutes away for a religious one.
Villa Paolina, Caserta
A vineyard estate inside the Alois Winery grounds, twenty minutes from Villa Eldaca and forty from Naples airport, holding up to 250 guests for both the ceremony and reception. Its glass-walled indoor room seats 200 with mirrored walls that keep the vineyard visible from every angle, and the estate’s own in-house catering partner has run the kitchen here for more than a decade. Religious ceremonies happen at churches in Pontelatone or Sant’Angelo in Formis nearby, with a symbolic option available directly in the gardens.
Reggia di Caserta, Caserta
The Royal Palace of Caserta is a genuine UNESCO World Heritage site, one of the largest royal residences ever built in Europe, and it does, under state permit, occasionally open spaces like the Palatine Chapel and its grand courtyards for private events. This is not a commercial venue with a set package or a published capacity, applications go through the palace’s own administration, and it will not suit every couple’s timeline or budget, but for the right wedding it offers a setting that nothing else on this page, or arguably in Campania, can match.
Your Naples Wedding Photographer
I’m Dejan, a Naples wedding photographer.
My focus is always the wedding itself, not performances for the camera. The photos are simply a reflection of the day: genuine, calm, and emotionally grounded.
I take my work seriously, but never myself too seriously. A relaxed atmosphere, clear communication, and quiet confidence make all the difference, especially for destination weddings.

From the moment we met Dejan, he made us feel completely at ease. He has a calm and kind presence, and captured every emotion of the day in a way that felt honest and natural. Nothing felt forced or over-posed, yet he was always in the right place at the right time. His work feels intimate and timeless, and we’ll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this page different from an Amalfi, Capri or Positano wedding?
This page covers Naples, Sorrento and the Caserta area inland, deliberately separate from the coastal towns further south, which each get their own dedicated page. If a grand historic hotel on the Bay of Naples or a working vineyard estate near Caserta fits your idea of the day more than a clifftop garden on the Amalfi Coast, this is the right starting point.
Is it actually possible to get married at the Royal Palace of Caserta?
In limited circumstances, yes. The palace grants what it calls temporary respectful use of certain spaces for private events through its own state administration, rather than running weddings as a commercial venue. There is no published capacity or standard package, and the process takes real lead time, but it is a genuine option worth exploring if a royal palace is what you’re picturing.
What’s the best time of year for a wedding in this area?
May through June and September into October generally work best across the region, avoiding the heaviest heat and the crowds August brings to the Sorrento peninsula in particular. Vineyard estates like Villa Eldaca and Villa Paolina also look their best around harvest time in September, if that timing works for your date.
Which airport should our guests fly into?
Naples International is the obvious choice for every venue on this page, roughly 40 minutes to the Caserta estates and about an hour to Sorrento, making this one of the more convenient areas in Campania for guest travel.
Do we need a wedding planner here?
For Excelsior Vittoria, Villa Eldaca or Villa Paolina, a planner is helpful but these are established wedding venues that can guide you directly. For Reggia di Caserta, a planner with existing experience navigating the palace’s permit process is close to essential, since it is a state cultural institution first and an event space only occasionally.
