Campania Wedding Photographer
with a Documentary and Editorial Style

Campania is bigger than the postcard. Amalfi, Positano and Capri get most of the attention, and they earn it, but the region around them holds just as much: Ravello’s cliffside gardens above the coast, Sorrento’s citrus groves and sea grottoes, Ischia’s volcanic thermal springs, and the Greek temples of Paestum an hour south of Salerno. A wedding here does not have to mean the same three towns every other couple already found on Instagram.
I photograph weddings across this wider Campania, in venues that sit just far enough from the main coastal towns to feel like a real discovery rather than a repeat of someone else’s wedding photos. This page is the regional view. If you already know you want Amalfi, Capri, Naples or Positano specifically, those towns each have their own dedicated page with venues local to that stretch of coast. Below are five real venues from the rest of the region, plus the questions couples ask me most before booking a wedding in Campania.
From Intimate Elopements to Big Weddings in Campania
Campania works just as beautifully for intimate elopements as it does for larger and multi-day celebrations.
I photograph:
– quiet, intentional elopements with just the two of you
– small weddings with close family and friends
– full wedding days with a larger guest count
– multi-day wedding celebrations, including welcome dinners and relaxed moments before or after the wedding
No matter the size or length of the celebration, my focus is always the same: real moments, strong atmosphere, and portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The scale may change, but the intention doesn’t.

Wedding Videographer in Campania: Photo and Hybrid Video Coverage
Alongside photography, I also offer wedding video coverage in Campania as part of a hybrid photo and video approach.
Video is treated as an extension of the photography, captured with the same sensitivity to light, timing, and atmosphere. The focus stays on real moments, movement, and sound, without staged scenes or intrusive production.
For weddings that benefit from an additional perspective, a dedicated videographer can also be included, always working in the same calm, unobtrusive way and fully aligned with how I photograph the day.
This approach works especially well for destination weddings, where intimacy, setting, and emotion matter more than spectacle.
The Best Wedding Venues in Campania
Campania’s best venues range from a cliffside palace above Ravello to a citrus grove villa near Sorrento and a volcanic island hotel on Ischia, rather than sitting only in Amalfi, Capri or Positano. Below are five real venues worth researching first.

Villa Cimbrone, Ravello
Villa Cimbrone is a 12th century palace turned 19 room hotel on the cliffs above Ravello, and its Terrace of Infinity, lined with classical marble busts and looking straight down onto the Tyrrhenian, is one of the most photographed viewpoints on the entire Amalfi Coast for a reason. The gardens run for several acres above the sea, giving a ceremony space that needs almost no styling. The property operates seasonally, April through October.
Villa Astor, Sorrento
Set on the cliffs above Sorrento, Villa Astor is an early 1800s residence that holds up to 200 guests, with direct access down to a private sea grotto for photos most couples never think to ask for. Packages start around EUR35,000, which places it firmly at the high end, but the combination of scale, privacy and that grotto access is hard to find anywhere else on this stretch of coast.
Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa, Ischia
A clifftop hotel on the quieter island of Ischia, Mezzatorre has 48 rooms and takes weddings either as a beachfront sunset ceremony or a full property buyout for up to 120 guests. Ischia’s volcanic thermal springs give the island a different rhythm than Capri just across the water, slower and less crowded, and the hotel runs its own thermal spa built into that same geology. Seasonal, April through October.
Villa Fondi, Piano di Sorrento
A neo-classical villa set inside a working citrus park between Sorrento and Positano, Villa Fondi offers a terrace, a garden and an indoor hall, so the ceremony and reception can move depending on weather without changing location. The orange and lemon trees around the property are still actively farmed, which gives the grounds a genuinely lived-in feel rather than a manicured one. Open March through October.
Villa Andrea, Paestum / Cilento
An hour south of the main coastal towns, Villa Andrea sits near Paestum’s Greek temple ruins, some of the best preserved in the world outside Greece itself, and holds up to 120 guests from around EUR3,500 a day. It is the venue to consider if you want your wedding photos to include something older than the Amalfi Coast’s medieval towns, and if a quieter, less trafficked corner of Campania appeals more than the main coastal circuit.
Your Campania Wedding Photographer
I’m Dejan, a Campania wedding photographer.
My focus is always the wedding itself, not performances for the camera. The photos are simply a reflection of the day: genuine, calm, and emotionally grounded.
I take my work seriously, but never myself too seriously. A relaxed atmosphere, clear communication, and quiet confidence make all the difference, especially for destination weddings.

From the moment we met Dejan, he made us feel completely at ease. He has a calm and kind presence, and captured every emotion of the day in a way that felt honest and natural. Nothing felt forced or over-posed, yet he was always in the right place at the right time. His work feels intimate and timeless, and we’ll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this page different from your Amalfi, Capri, Naples and Positano pages?
This page covers the wider region, venues like Ravello, Sorrento, Ischia and Paestum that sit outside those four specific towns. If you already know you want to get married in Amalfi, Capri, Naples or Positano itself, each of those has its own page with venues local to that exact stretch of coast. This page is for couples who want Campania more broadly, or who are still deciding between areas.
What’s the best time of year for a Campania wedding?
Late spring through early autumn, roughly April to October, is when most of these venues actually operate, and several (Villa Cimbrone, Mezzatorre, Villa Fondi) are seasonal properties that close outside that window. May, June and September give you the best weather without August’s heat and crowds.
Which airport should our guests fly into?
Naples International is the practical gateway for nearly all of Campania, with most of these venues within an hour to ninety minutes by car or, for Ischia, a ferry connection from Naples or Pozzuoli.
Do we need a wedding planner in Campania?
Yes, particularly for civil ceremony paperwork, since the comune handling your legal documents is often not the same town as your venue, and for island logistics if Ischia or Capri is involved. A planner who already works this coast will also manage ferry timing for guests and vendors, which matters more here than almost anywhere else in Italy.
What guest counts are realistic for a Campania wedding?
Most of the venues on this page hold somewhere between 100 and 200 guests. That is smaller than a large Tuscan villa buyout, and it is worth planning around; Campania’s cliffside and island settings trade scale for a kind of view and intimacy you cannot get on flatter ground.
