Nice Wedding Photographer
with a Documentary and Editorial Style

Nice sits on the French Riviera, a city of pastel facades and a curving seafront promenade, with some of the grandest Belle Époque architecture on the Mediterranean coast just a short drive away. Unlike some of the other French destinations on this site, Nice has its own major international airport, which makes it one of the more straightforward Riviera cities for guests to actually reach. This page looks at Nice specifically, separate from the France country page elsewhere on this site, which spreads out across the whole country.
I photograph weddings in and around the city, a reception in a Belle Époque villa’s gardens, a ceremony on a seafront terrace, portraits along the Promenade des Anglais and the hilltop ruins above the old town. Below are the real venues worth knowing, plus the questions couples ask me most before booking a wedding here.
From Intimate Elopements to Big Weddings in Nice
Nice works just as beautifully for intimate elopements as it does for larger and multi-day celebrations, with venues scaling from a quiet terrace for two to a 350-guest garden reception.
I photograph:
– quiet, intentional elopements with just the two of you
– small weddings with close family and friends
– full wedding days with a larger guest count
– multi-day wedding celebrations, including welcome dinners and relaxed moments before or after the wedding
No matter the size or length of the celebration, my focus is always the same: real moments, strong atmosphere, and portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The scale may change, but the intention doesn’t.

Wedding Videographer in Nice: Photo and Hybrid Video Coverage
Alongside photography, I also offer wedding video coverage in Nice as part of a hybrid photo and video approach.
Video is treated as an extension of the photography, captured with the same sensitivity to light, timing, and atmosphere. The focus stays on real moments, movement, and sound, without staged scenes or intrusive production.
For weddings that benefit from an additional perspective, a dedicated videographer can also be included, always working in the same calm, unobtrusive way and fully aligned with how I photograph the day.
This approach works especially well for destination weddings, where intimacy, setting, and emotion matter more than spectacle.
The Best Wedding Venues in Nice
One genuinely grand Belle Époque palace on Cap-Ferrat, a historic seafront hotel, and the Promenade and hilltop ruins for portraits.

Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
A Belle Époque palace built by Baroness Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild on the Cap-Ferrat peninsula, a short drive from Nice, set among nine themed gardens. The villa’s own site confirms it hosts weddings directly, with ceremony options in the gardens or on the terrace, and shows real past weddings. Venue hire runs from around €111,000 in peak season (June through September) for up to 350 guests at a seated dinner.
Hotel Negresco
A landmark Belle Époque hotel right on the Promenade des Anglais, with three named function rooms, the Royal, Versailles, and Massena reception rooms, advertised for weddings. I haven’t found published capacity figures or evidence of a wedding actually held there, so I’d confirm directly before counting on it for your date.
Château de Crémat
A working vineyard château in the hills above Nice, part of the small Bellet wine appellation, with sea views over the Baie des Anges. Event-booking directories list detailed capacity, up to 500 for a cocktail reception, around 280 seated, but I haven’t found the château itself confirming wedding hosting directly, worth checking before building plans around it.
Promenade des Anglais and Castle Hill
Not bookable venues. The Promenade is Nice’s iconic seafront walkway, while Castle Hill, the hilltop park and ruins above the old town, gives a panoramic view over the Baie des Anges, both reliable spots for portraits.
Your Nice Wedding Photographer
I’m Dejan, a Nice wedding photographer.
My focus is always the wedding itself, not performances for the camera. The photos are simply a reflection of the day: genuine, calm, and emotionally grounded.
I take my work seriously, but never myself too seriously. A relaxed atmosphere, clear communication, and quiet confidence make all the difference, especially for destination weddings.

From the moment we met Dejan, he made us feel completely at ease. He has a calm and kind presence, and captured every emotion of the day in a way that felt honest and natural. Nothing felt forced or over-posed, yet he was always in the right place at the right time. His work feels intimate and timeless, and we’ll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this page different from your France page?
The France page on this site covers the country broadly. This page looks specifically at Nice and the French Riviera around it, from Belle Époque villas on Cap-Ferrat to the seafront promenade itself.
What’s the best time of year for a Nice wedding?
May through June and September through early October give the most reliable weather while avoiding July and August’s peak heat, crowds, and prices along the Riviera.
Which airport should our guests fly into?
Unlike some of the other French destinations on this site, Nice has its own major international airport with direct long-haul and European routes, genuinely one of the easier Riviera cities to fly guests into directly.
Do we need to get legally married in France, or can we do that at home?
Most couples without French residency marry legally at home first and hold a symbolic or religious ceremony in Nice instead. A legal civil ceremony at a French mairie requires at least one party to have lived in that town for a month, plus a stack of paperwork, a certificat de coutume, a certificat de célibat, an apostilled birth certificate, and banns posted at least ten days ahead, which is a heavy lift for most couples planning a destination wedding.
Can Hotel Negresco or Château de Crémat actually confirm hosting a wedding?
Both advertise themselves for events, Hotel Negresco through named reception rooms and Château de Crémat through event-booking directories listing detailed capacity, but I haven’t found either confirming an actual wedding held on-site. I’d verify directly before building plans around either one, especially next to a venue like Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, which does confirm its own wedding history.
