Verona Wedding Photographer
with a Documentary and Editorial Style

Verona sits apart from the Lake Garda hillside venues on the Veneto region page, and it brings something none of them can, a city literally built into the world’s romantic imagination through a story that never actually happened here, and a civil ceremony program the comune itself runs around it. Outside the historic center, the ground changes fast. Grezzana, in the hills just north of the city, has one of the most photographed villa gardens in the Veneto. West into Valpolicella, the vineyards that produce Amarone and Valpolicella wine surround a historic estate still connected to its own winery.
I photograph weddings across all three settings, a civil ceremony beside Juliet’s balcony, a villa garden in the hills, and a reception among the Valpolicella vines. Below are three real venues worth knowing, plus the questions couples ask me most before booking a wedding here.
From Intimate Elopements to Big Weddings in Verona
Verona works just as beautifully for intimate elopements as it does for larger and multi-day celebrations.
I photograph:
– quiet, intentional elopements with just the two of you
– small weddings with close family and friends
– full wedding days with a larger guest count
– multi-day wedding celebrations, including welcome dinners and relaxed moments before or after the wedding
No matter the size or length of the celebration, my focus is always the same: real moments, strong atmosphere, and portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The scale may change, but the intention doesn’t.

Wedding Videographer in Verona: Photo and Hybrid Video Coverage
Alongside photography, I also offer wedding video coverage in Verona as part of a hybrid photo and video approach.
Video is treated as an extension of the photography, captured with the same sensitivity to light, timing, and atmosphere. The focus stays on real moments, movement, and sound, without staged scenes or intrusive production.
For weddings that benefit from an additional perspective, a dedicated videographer can also be included, always working in the same calm, unobtrusive way and fully aligned with how I photograph the day.
This approach works especially well for destination weddings, where intimacy, setting, and emotion matter more than spectacle.
The Best Wedding Venues in Verona
Three venues in and around Verona, from a civil ceremony beside Juliet’s balcony to Villa Arvedi’s gardens and Villa Mosconi Bertani’s vineyards in Valpolicella.

Casa di Giulietta, Verona historic center
The city of Verona runs its own civil ceremony program, Sposami a Verona, through Juliet’s House itself, letting couples marry in the courtyard beneath the balcony that inspired Shakespeare’s play. Demand has grown enough that the comune raised its rates and expanded the available hours and spaces in recent years, which tells you how sought after the slot actually is. It is booked directly through the city rather than a private venue, so the process and calendar follow the comune’s own rules.
Villa Arvedi, Grezzana
A 16th century villa in the hills north of Verona, its garden built around a nymphaeum and long reflecting pools that are among the most photographed in the whole Veneto region. Villa Arvedi keeps its grounds largely as they were laid out centuries ago, formal hedges, statuary, water features, which gives a reception here a genuinely different visual register from a countryside estate further out in the province.
Villa Mosconi Bertani, Negrar di Valpolicella
A historic villa inside the Bertani wine estate in Negrar, at the heart of Valpolicella, the hills west of Verona known for Amarone. Villa Mosconi Bertani surrounds a wedding with actual working vineyards rather than a view of them from a distance, and the estate’s own winery connection means the wine at your reception can genuinely be from the ground you’re standing on.
Your Verona Wedding Photographer
I’m Dejan, a Verona wedding photographer.
My focus is always the wedding itself, not performances for the camera. The photos are simply a reflection of the day: genuine, calm, and emotionally grounded.
I take my work seriously, but never myself too seriously. A relaxed atmosphere, clear communication, and quiet confidence make all the difference, especially for destination weddings.

From the moment we met Dejan, he made us feel completely at ease. He has a calm and kind presence, and captured every emotion of the day in a way that felt honest and natural. Nothing felt forced or over-posed, yet he was always in the right place at the right time. His work feels intimate and timeless, and we’ll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this page different from your Veneto region page?
The region page covers Lake Garda’s hillside estates around Caprino Veronese and Bevilacqua, both technically in Verona province but well outside the city itself. This page covers Verona’s historic center and the immediate hills and vineyards around it, Grezzana and Negrar di Valpolicella included.
Can we actually get married beside Juliet’s balcony?
Yes. The comune of Verona runs its own official civil ceremony program at Casa di Giulietta, so it’s a genuine legal option, not a photo opportunity dressed up as one. Demand is high enough that it’s worth booking well in advance and confirming current rates directly with the city.
What’s the best time of year for a Verona wedding?
May, June and September give the most comfortable weather for moving between the historic center and a countryside venue like Villa Arvedi or Villa Mosconi Bertani. Verona’s opera season fills the city with visitors through the summer, worth factoring into hotel availability for your guests.
Which airport should our guests fly into?
Verona Villafranca Airport sits right at the edge of the city, one of the most convenient gateway airports on this entire site, with Venice and Milan’s airports as further options for guests connecting through a wider range of flights.
Do we need a wedding planner in Verona?
Helpful rather than essential at Villa Arvedi or Villa Mosconi Bertani, both of which run experienced in-house event teams. A civil ceremony at Casa di Giulietta goes through the comune’s own booking process, and a planner who already knows that process, and how it fits around photography and a reception elsewhere, saves real time.
